NBN TV were there to capture the celebrations at mayfield pool's 42nd birthday.
The day drew a large crowd who were entertained by Stephen Clarke on guitar playing classics like Moon River and by the Poeples' Chorus with their great rendition of "Solar Heating here at Mayfield - So We Can Swim All Year"
You can check out the NBN coverage at here
The birthday celebration was part of a weekend of celebrations including a successful Trivia Night with over 100 people kicking off community contribution towards solar heating at the pool.
Each of our local councillors and the Lord Mayor showed their support by taking part in events over the weekend and support also came from Mayfield Mainstreet (who organised the trivia event) , People's Chorus, Mayfield Pool Swimming Club, school teachers and people right across the community.
A big thanks to Aaron from the Stag and Hunter for being such a great host for the Trivia evening and to Kathie , Bronwyn and all at Mainstreet.
Watch this space for coming news about the "buy a tile" community art project as part of fundraising activities to support solar heating at Mayfield pool.
