The Save Mayfield Swimming Pool (SMSP) Campaign continues into 2008/09, as residents and community groups work to ensure the pool's long-term future: "improve it don't remove it"

The council want to close the pool so other pools can have waterslides according to the local paper, this is a stupid way of doing things & does not auger well for community co-operation. I would like Mayfield pool to remain.
It is good to have a simple pool in walking & cycling distance, especially for kids who would otherwise have face multiple bus trips or yet again have to rely on parents driving them.
It is good to have a pool on 'this side of the tracks' that's only a short bus ride away rather than 2 buses, with a big wait in between, & what with time & wet hair, who wants to do all that if you're not in robust health.
A good thing for pools to do is to have supervised swimming times 1 or 2 times a week made available for adults with disabilities who just need someone to have an extra lookout for them while swimming, & to know there's someone on hand who knows water rescue & CPR, please factor this into plans put before council.
Good Luck!
Been getting a few signatures for the petition, how & when do we submit the petition, do we send it with our letter to council.
Hi Michael,
The thinking is to collect these and send them all in, or present them to Council, together. If you can make it to the public meeting on Sunday September 16 (3pm) at the Bowling Club you could bring any completed petitions there. Otherwise, send us an email (savemayfieldpool@gmail.com) and we'll organise another way to get them.
I think it is important for us to sign petitions but it is more important to write personalised letters to council, I think they send a stronger message.
Who knows where to download XRumer 5.0 Palladium?
